Our kindergarten
St. Ingeborg Kindergarten is in Ergolding, in the center of the town. The provider is the Catholic Church Foundation “Mariä Heimsuchung”. We take care of children from 3 years old until they start school. We have four groups with up to 100 children in total.
Opening hours and meals
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Every day, children receive a warm lunch. Parents get important information, dates and messages via the kindergarten information app.
Our motto and values
Our motto is: Together we are strong. Every child is different and every child is important. We follow Christian values such as respect, trust and community. We treat each other kindly and take every child seriously.
How children learn with us
Children learn by playing, exploring and trying things out. We support them with patience, care and respect. We help children become confident and independent.
Children can participate
Children are allowed to speak up and help decide. This is called participation. We regularly hold children’s meetings where we talk about what children need, what is important to them and what we can improve.
What matters in everyday life
We offer many activities that support children: movement and sports, music and singing, language and stories, exploring nature, discovering numbers and shapes, and creative activities such as painting and crafting. Healthy food and plenty of exercise are part of our daily routine.
Our forest day
A special part of our programme is our forest day. On this day we go to the forest. Children experience nature with all their senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and discovering.
Everyone is welcome
All children are welcome – including children with disabilities. This is called inclusion. We look closely at what each child needs and support them in the best possible way.
Programmes for pre-school children and language support
Children close to school age join our pre-school club. They also have swimming lessons at “Ergomar”. Some children need extra help with speaking and understanding German. For this we offer a German language course.
Working together with others
We work closely with schools, specialists and other organisations. This helps us support children and families better.
Parents are important partners
Parents are our most important partners. We talk regularly and exchange information about the child’s development. We also plan celebrations and activities together. The parents’ council is an important link between families and the kindergarten.
Quality, safety and child protection
Quality is very important to us. We carry out parent surveys, keep documentation and work with professionals. Safety and hygiene are checked regularly. The well-being of children always comes first. We follow the legal duty to protect children. Children should be safe and treated well at all times.
Our goal
Our goal is a kindergarten where children feel comfortable, make friends, play, learn and grow strong for life.
